SHOOTING RANGES WHICH MAY BE USED FOR NHSA POSTAL TARGET SHOOTING
Which Shooting Ranges to Use ?1. Members may shoot targets for the NHSA Postal Target Shooting Exercises on any publicly recognised shooting range, world wide (in South Africa such a range does not have to accredited with SABS or with SAPS).
2. Members may also shoot targets for the NHSA Postal Target Shooting Exercises on NHSA Exco Recognised Private Shooting Ranges - see application procedure here.
3. Members are required to pay the necessary shooting range fees as specified per the specific shooting range, or as specified by the range for each course of fire.
4. A list of NHSA Friendly Shooting Ranges is available where members may shoot the targets for the NHSA Postal
Target Shooting Exercises they participate in. There is, however, no
requirement that members may only use these ranges (see list here)
5. Ranges are not responsible to teach members the rules of the different exercises – specifics of all Natshoot Postal Target Shooting Exercises are explained on the exercise rules page.
6. Shooting ranges may not members with
targets and may not enter scores for members on members' Scores Pages.
7. Members are requested to please ask the ranges where they shoot to register with the NHSA – registration of a range is FREE of charge – download NHSA Friendly Shooting Range registration form here
8. Verifying person / witness = any person from the shooting range staff, another shooter shooting at the range, or an accompanying NHSA member.
Shooting Range Verification:
9. Members are required to ascertain that they always get proof of the fact that they were on the shooting range on the date indicated on shot Postal Shooting Targets of which they enter the scores, to render as verification if the office should so require (i.e. receipt, range stamp with date on target, photo of range register of the day, day shooter sticker issued at clubs, etc.)
