1.5           Please ascertain you read the corresponding Rules for the Competition Specific Exercises as indicated at the Categories of Participation in this Guide before you go and shoot the exercises you want to compete in.

1.6           Download the Competition Target(s) for the relevant Competition Exercises you want to compete in on your Member Portal (see How To Here)

1.6.1        Only scores on targets specifically market as Competition Targets will be accepted for the Annual National Competition (Competition Targets are all numbered, as examples, Target # Com01  or Target # Com12 , etc., on the bottom of each target or score sheet)

1.6.2        Targets for the NHSA National Competition will be available for download from 18:00 on 31 August at the specific exercise you wish to participate in.

1.6.3         Competition targets may not be used for anything else than the annual competition, and must please not be submitted for in-House Postal Target Shooting Scores or as Sport Shooting Activity Targets as submissions of competition specific targets under those headings will by default be declined by Scores and Activity Evaluators.

1.7          Shoot the different Competition Specific Exercises, you chose to participate in, as per the prescripts of the relevant exercise rules.  Please see - Exercises Rules for Natshoot National Competition.

1.8          Shoot Competition Targets on any publicly recognised shooting range of your choice.  You may also shoot on Natshoot recognised / registered private shooting ranges (see How To register a private shooting range with Natshoot).

1.9          Make sure your firearms have been registered on your Natshoot Member Portal otherwise you will not be able to upload your competition scores and targets for ranking in the national competition (see How To Here).

1.9.1       You do not have to mention the serial number of the specific firearm when you register a firearm on your Member Portal.

1.9.2       If you do not want to register your specific firearms on your Natshoot Member Portal, you may choose a different make for your firearm as long as the firearm type and calibre you indicate, is correct so that you will be ale to download the correct competition targets(s).

1.9.3       However, we recommend that if your register a "ghost firearm" as suggested under 1.9.2, (i.e., My 223 Semi-Auto Rifle) that you always include the date on which the licence was issued and on which date the licence lapses so that the system can warn you of your renewal date on time.

1.10        After having shot your competition targets, enter your competition scores on the Competition Page on your Natshoot Member Portal (if you used a firearm of a family member register the firearm as “someone else’s firearm" on your member portal and enter the relevant scores there).

1.11        Enter the score under Competition scores.  Complete all fields on the specific Target and enter the score correctly in the provided scoring blocks.  Upload the relevant scanned target at the “browse” buttons (see How To Here).

1.11.1     If you enter 12 targets for the competition you must please make 12 individual entries.

1.11.2     Except for the Competition Targets for the semi-auto rifles and for the 200m All actions centre-fire rifle exercise, competition targets have either five smaller circles or two smaller circles on one A4 page.  Make sure you shoot only the prescribed number of shots on the specified circles on a specific target.

1.12       Please make sure you enter competition targets for semi-auto rifles correctly - there are three documents you must upload (a score sheet and an A-Target and a B-Target).

1.13       All submissions of competition targets and scores must comply with the prescripts of the Natshoot Postal Target Shooting Policy and must be shot at latest midnight on 30 September and be uploaded at the very latest on 23:59 on 2 October of the competition year.

1.13.1    The link to the annual competition on members’ Natshoot Member Portals for entry of competition scores will be deactivated on 23:59 on 2 October annually.

1.14       Entered scores will be ratified against the specific target by a panel of judges.  Participants will then be ranked per category of participation according to scores they had achieved.

Note:  Targets must preferably be scanned in PDF format.

When scanned in JPEG format the file size must preferably not be larger than 4 MEG.

No Emailed targets will be accepted under any circumstance.
