CONTINUED VOTE RIGGING (BUYING) AT CITES COP 18

Emmanuel Koro of True Green Alliance (TGA) fame attended the 2019 COP 18 meeting of CITES in Geneve, Switzerland.

Emmanuel confirms the continued vote buying of animal rightist and green movements through delegates and delegations of less wealthy African countries.  Especially focussed against the opening of the responsible trade in rhino horn and elephant ivory.  The very thing SADC countries need in order to fund their conservation efforts in a sustainable manner.

It is also disconcerting to take note of the fact that CITES bureaucrats continue to deny the presence of animal rights groups and green NGOs at the COP and the influence they have on proceedings.

Despite SADC countries trying to take a positive stand (approach), their efforts are constantly ignored by Western powers who clearly have no interest in what happens to people in SADC countries due to animal human conflict.  It is once again clear that animal rights movements are only interested in lining their own pockets with emotional dollars collected against messages of half-truths and blatant lies about the imperative of sustainable use management of high profile animals in SADC countries
