10m CF Rapid Revolver

RULES:   10m, 10-SHOT RAPID FIRE EXERCISE - CENTRE-FIRE REVOLVERS

 

FIREARMS PERMITTED:  Revolvers in centre-fire calibres from .38 Special and Larger

SHOOTING DISTANCE:  The shooting distance measured from the target to the edge of the firing line closest to the shooter is 10 meters.

COURSES OF FIRE:   The exercise consists of firing two strings of 5 shots in 30 seconds at 10 metres on the same prescribed NHSA A4 target, with manually reloading of revolver in between shooting of two strings to score 100 points

DOUBLE OR SINGLE ACTION REVOLVERS:   no optical sights allowed - maximum barrel length 4,2 inches / 100mm:

-        Load 5 rounds in cylinder;

-        De-cock revolver and place empty cylinder under hammer (hammer down)

-        On start signal, fire first string of 5 shots at prescribed target @ 10 metres;

-        Manually load next 5 rounds in cylinder and fire second string of 5 shots at same prescribed target @ 10 metres;

Note:  Time for exercise to be completed is 30 seconds - speed loaders may be used – or a maximum of 5 rounds may be manually loaded at a time. 

Timing starts when time keeper gives the command Start (Fire) and ends when the last shot has been fired.

FIRING POSITION:  Standing position, handgun held in one or both hands, with all portions of the shooter`s clothing, body and firearm clear of artificial support
