SHOOTING RANGES, WITNESSES & TIMEKEEPERS

______________

9.          PERMITTED SHOOTING RANGES: WITNESSES & TIMEKEEPERS

9.1         Competitors in the Natshoot Annual National Postal Target Shooting Competition may shoot at any publicly recognised shooting range of the competitor’s choice or club ranges, or on a private (farm) shooting range which has been recognised by Natshoot.  The shooting range must obviously conform to the requirements of the specific exercise that is being shot there (at least 10 metres for handguns and at least 100 meters for rifles).

9.2          A list of Natshoot Friendly Shooting Ranges is available on the Natshoot website if members would wish to shoot at any of those ranges (it is not compulsory to use only these ranges).  See HERE How To register a private shooting range with Natshoot.

9.3         Shooting Ranges MAY NOT not furnish competitors with competition targets.

9.4         Competitors are required to pay the necessary shooting range fees as specified by the specific shooting range, or as specified by the range for each exercise.

9.5         Witness & Timekeeper is a person from the shooting range staff or an accompanying Natshoot member or a person who is busy shooting on the range, and who witnesses the shoot and/or is prepared to act as timekeeper for those exercises which are shot against time - who is made aware of the rules for the specific exercise and who counter signs the competitor`s target on the prescribed place while also being prepared to furnish his/her cell phone number for verification purposes if need arises.

9.6         Compulsory Video:  For all semi-auto rifle exercises it is required that the competitor make a video of the full exercise being shot.  The video must be taken from behind the shooter in such a manner that the shooting position of the shooter is visible in relationship to target A and target B. The video must also capture the shooting time used for both targets of this exerciseSmart phones can be used to make the video.   This video must be kept for 3 months after the closing date of the competition and must be made available to the competition evaluators if so requested.   If this video cannot be produced on request by returning Email, the competitor will automatically disqualify himself/herself from that specific competition exercise.
