There was a significant increase in the number of Ladies who participated as well as in the number of Juniors participating.

Our staff evaluated 2,625 submitted targets for this year’s competition.
We endeavour to courier medals to winners as soon as possible.

Al Appeals received before midnight 19 October 2021 were answered. Scores which needed to be adapted have been incorporated into the final 2021 competition results.

All exercises for the 2021 National Competition were conducted among the following Peer Groups:
Junior Class = 19 years of age and younger on 1 September 2021 (Men & Ladies separate);
Open Class = 20 to 59 years of age on 1 September 2021 (Men & Ladies separate):
Senior Class = 60> years of age on 1 September 2021 (Men & Ladies separate).

2021 TOP-GUNS
Criteria for Inclusion to be Ranked in Category:
Minimum of four x 100-score targets plus four x Top-10 Rankings in all competition exercises participated in
Ranking determined by (1) highest number of # 1 rankings in all exercises competed in, then (2) by highest number of medal places in all exercises competed in; if still equal then (3) by highest number #1 to #10 exercise rankings; if still equal then (4) by highest number of 100 scored targets. If still equal, then competitors share the ranking in alphabetical order.

Ladies Top-Gun for 2021 is Varisha van der Westhuizen of Mtubatuba (Ladies Open Class). Varisha achieved 3 #1 rankings and 9 Medal places with 11 Top-10 rankings in exercises she participated in. She submitted 10 x 100-scored targets.
Second: Alta van Tonder of Pretoria (Ladies Open Class). Alta achieved 1 #1 rankings and 7 Medal places with 7 Top-10 rankings in exercises she participated in. She submitted 6 x 100-scored targets.
Third: Annelien Oberholzer of Muldersdrift (Ladies Open Class). Annelien achieved 1 #1 rankings and 5 Medal places with 5 Top-10 rankings in exercises she participated in. She submitted 4 x 100-scored targets.

2021 TOP-10 HANDGUNNERS & RIFLE SHOTS
Criteria for Inclusion to be Ranked in Category
As mentioned in the Rules for the 2021 National Competition, the Top-10 Awards are calculated as follows:
Excluding Air Pistols & Rifles, the Top-10 scores for all handgun categories and the Top-10 scores for all rifle categories, irrespective of Category of Participation and irrespective of class of competition will receive a cloth badge indicating that s/he is one of the Natshoot’s Top-10 Handgun or Top-10 Rifle shots for 2021.
NOTE: Other than in past years, the Top-10 rankings for Handguns and for Rifles for 2021 and years thereafter, will only be awarded to the Top-10 competitors, and not to the competitors who scored the ten highest scores for Handguns or for Rifles. If it is so that there are 13 competitors or more sharing the Top-10 positions, they will all be awarded with that distinction. There is also no longer a Ranking but a list of competitors in alphabetical order

2021 - FINAL COMPETITION RESULTS
Format for Ranking of Competitors in the 2021 Competition
Ranking in all Competition Exercises other than those for semi-auto rifles, is determined by Highest Exercise Score. If the same exercise score then according to Highest Number of Shots Closest to Centre of Target (Shot Indicators). Starting with (a) number of shots in the X-ring, then (b) shots in the 10-ring, then (c) shots in the 9-ring, and so on up to cut-shots in the 4-ring. Competitors with exact same Exercise Scores and Shot Indicators share the ranking in alphabetical order. Exercise Scores below 60% indicated with "P" (Participated).
Ranking in Competition Exercises for Semi-Auto Rifles is determined by Highest Exercise Mark. Competitors with the same Mark are then ranked according to highest Score for A & B Targets - Score determined by number of shots closest to centre of Target - by highest number of clear X shots and then highest number of Cut-X shots, and so on. Competitors with exact same Target Scores and shot indicators, share the ranking in alphabetical order.
