ENDORSEMENTS FOR LICENCE APPLICATIONS

Over the past four weeks it has become a tendency at the SAPS Central Firearm Licensing Helpline to inform members who enquire as to the status of their application(s), that their endorsement(s) are out of date and that they need to submit new endorsements.
On 29 May 2015 the Registrar officially informed members of the Hunters Forum that existing endorsements are all acceptable and do not need any changes.
Thus if you call the CFR Helpline and they inform you of the need for a new endorsement, you can ignore that instruction, as it is an over eager helpline operator who is passing the wrong information.
We reiterate the need for members to apply for endorsements to be submitted with each and every licence application they submit – be that for a new licence of for renewal of existing licences (apply for endorsements on your personal Natshoot web page please).

In die afgelope vier weke het dit ‘n tendens geword dat die SAPD Sentrale Vuurwaperegister se Helplyn lede inlig dat hulle endossement(e) opgedateer moet word wanneer lede navraag doen oor die status van hulle lisensie-aansoeke.
Op 29 Mei 2015 het die Registrateur lede van die Jagtersforum amptelik in kennis gestel dat bestaande endossemente geldig sal bly en dat dit dus steeds, sonder enige wysigings, so ingedien kan word soos in die verlede.
Indien u dus die SVR se Helplyn skakel en u word ingelig dat u ‘n nuwe endossement moet indien, kan u die boodskap van die oorywerige telefoniste ignoreer.
Ons beklemtoon weer die noodsaak van endossemente vir alle vuurwapenlisensie-aansoeke – of dit nuwe aansoeke is en of dit hernuwings is maak nie saak nie (doen aansoek vir u endossemente op u persoonlike Natshoot webblad asb).
