RETURN OF SAPS CONFISCATED FIREARMS IN EASTERN CAPE

Dear Member,

BLESSED 2025

All at Natshoot sincerely hope that you and yours had a blessed Christmas, and extend our sincerest wishes that the very best of your 2024 will be the very worst of your 2025.

GOOD NEWS:

Firearm owners in the Eastern Cape received very good news right at the end of 2024 re wrongful confiscation of firearms by SAPS and the National Prosecuting Authority under the so-called “Webb's Arms case”.

Natshoot members and other members of the public, from whom SAPS confiscated firearms due to SAPS and the National Prosecuting Authority declaring all proficiency training done by Webb's Arms, and the resultant awarding of competency based on that training, to be illegal, can now go and fetch said firearms back from their respective DFOs or SAPS13 Register Office at their police station.

A SAPS directive of 17 December 2024 orders SAPS in Eastern Cape to return all firearms to owners from whom the firearms were confiscated in the so-called “Webb's Arms case”.

Please take a printed copy of the SAPS Directive describing this procedure if your DFO would challenge your legal request.

Members can download the relevant SAPS Directive here

Kind Regards
