The Madikwe Game Reserve is facing widespread ecological degradation and a devastating loss of wildlife (per the TGA press release 29 November 2024).

This stems from largely the overpopulation of the reserve with herbivores - in particular Elephants. This seems to be the future for the Kruger National Park as well (with an even larger catastrophic outcome).

Words can not describe adequately, the true nature of the crisis. Please take a few minutes to view the following video to gain just some perspective of the fallout resulting due to poor management.
