INFORMATION ON TRANSPORT OF GAME MEAT INTO SOUTH AFRICA FROM NAMIBIA
For those of our members who hunt in Namibia, please take note that the Namibian procedures have changed for the export of meat to South Africa
Hunters who would want to bring meat from Namibia will have to fist take the meat for physical inspection to the Namibian State Vet where your meat export permit will be endorsed. This can be done at Karrasburg, Mariental or Keetmanshoop State Vet.
This can only be done during office hours (Monday to Friday 08:00 to 13:00 and then again 14:00 to 17:00). That means you will have to plan your trip accordingly.
