Dear Member,

We have rceived the following notification re the above mentioned topical book, which we believe should be part of any firearm enthusiast's book collection

"This is a reminder to all persons owning firearms or interested in Southern African firearms and history that the early pre-publication offer for this book expires soon. From 1 April 2016 the price per book will increase from R390 plus postage to R490 plus postage.

One hundred and eighty local firearms are covered in this new reference guide. The full story of these firearms and of the people who designed them has never before been told.

This new firearms reference guide is the result of eight years of hard work tracing and interviewing key people, scanning original documents and taking original photographs.

The book comprehensively covers the technical data on Southern African hunting rifles, sporting arms, handguns and military firearms as well as telling the story of the companies which manufactured them, the designers who created them and the people who made them

For those who have an interest in the Rhodesian War, there is a detailed chapter on the firearm industry in that country during the late 1970’s as well as information on Rhodesian firearms in other chapters.

This quality, information packed, full-colour, photo rich, hardback A4 book runs to over four hundred pages. It is available at a pre-publication price of R390 plus postage only until 31 March 2016. Publication date is June and the delivery of copies to those who have ordered will take place in August.

The Pretoria Arms and Ammunition Association notes that it is going to be extremely conservative when determining the final number of books to be printed. They may not be able to accommodate late orders.

Eight years were allocated to this project with a publication date for the book having been set for 25 June 2016.

The final book will be A4 size, minimum of 400 full colour pages, hard covered and will be of great use to firearm collectors, to historians and to people who simply have an interest in Southern African firearms and military history.

This early pre-publication offer @ R390.00 per book plus postage is only valid until 31 March 2016.  If you want a copy, please complete the attached form and email it together with your proof of payment to: [email protected] ".

Do not miss this opportunity as we will only print to order.
