In an endeavour to assist Provinces with gathering and holding statistics regarding annual numbers of species harvested, we have created a system whereby we can collate the harvesting data our members submit in their activity reports when they report their individual hunting activities on an annual basis.
We realise that it is impossible to indicate gender in pigeons and doves and not always possible in other gamebird species, and therefore accept just an indication of the activity where gamebird harvesting is reported. Reporting of numbers harvested are thus adequate.
At Natshoot we do not recognise management of damage causing animals or culling as hunting, although we do request the numbers of game culled under these circumstances.
