WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT ANNUALLY COMPLY WITH THE RULES TO MAINTAIN DEDICATED STATUS

1.    Regulation 4(1)(c) of the FCA requires accredited associations to have a system in place by way of which they can regularly and appropriately be informed of their dedicated members' dedicated activities in a specific year (hunters and/or sport-persons).

2.    At Natshoot these activities to be reported are the two annual activities to maintain dedicated hunter status, of which accepted activities are described under 2.1 above or the two annual activities required to maintain dedicated sports-person status, of which accepted activities are described under 2.2 above.

3.    A Non-Active report for a specific year submitted before 30 November of that year, has the effect that a dedicated member will be regarded as having complied with the requirements to maintain dedicated status for a specifc year, subject to the provisons as described under 2.3 above.

4.   As from 1 January 2020 Natshoot will keep a dedicated member's dedicated status in place for two years if that member for two consecutive years does not comply with the requirements to either report adequate activities per annum or is not paid-up on 30 November of the reporting year (provided the member has an arrangement with Natshoot why s/he was unable to pay annual membership fees).  A dedicated member must also report the required number of annual dedicated activities before the annual cut-off reporting date of 30 November.

5.   A dedicated member's dedicated status will automatically be suspended on 1 January of the year following the third consecutive year of non-compliance.

6.   A member who has lost his/her dedicated status as per paragraphs 4.5 will have to redo the dedicated status course to again acquire dedicated status with Natshoot - be that dedicated hunter and/or dedicated sports-person status.

7.   Members who lose dedicated status in the manner described above will be notified by Email of this situation during January of the year following the suspension of his/her dedicated status with Natshoot.

8.   No RPL recognition of such a member holding dedicated hunter or sports-person status with another accredited association will be considered to re-award dedicated status with Natshoot if the member has lost his/her dedicated status with Natshoot in the manner described above (4 & 5).
